A handheld unit based on a computer mouse, magnifying text at either 20 or 40 times as standard.

On the "Skyline" screen, 20 times mag shows normal-sized text as letters 30 millimetres (one and a quarter inches) high. The "Genius" can be supplied with lower magnifications by request, suitable for use with larger displays such as 34-cm and 51-cm TVs.

One click on the left-hand mouse button toggles between low and high magnification.

One click on the right-hand mouse button toggles between full colour, enhanced black on white and enhanced white on black.

Moving the scroll wheel adjusts the thickness of displayed letters, to handle difficult backgrounds.

Works through a standard colour TV or the "Skyline" screen.
Can use Channel 1 - no need to buy a modern TV with video or UHF! Video (negative sync): PAL C C I R (Australian) 625 line standard.
Solid-state illumination.
Rollers for easiest straight-line motion. Rollers are high-impact plastic with metal bearings.

Dimensions: width 65 millimetres (2 and a half inches), length 120 millimetres (4 and three quarter inches), height 60mm (2 and a quarter inches).
The associated control box, with connectors for the "Skyline" display, external power in and video out, is 130 millimetres (5 inches) wide, 90 millimetres (3 and a half inches) deep and 35 millimetres (one and a half inches) high.
